'The Mainbocher Corset'

Taken by famed fashion photographer Horst P. Horst, this iconic photograph was Rebecca’s inspiration behind our Slub Linen Slip Dress from the summer collection. The photo was shot in Paris for French Vogue in 1939, just before the start of WWII.

Rebecca has always been inspired by Parsian culture and the artists who have lived and worked there. The lace-up back of the dress transforms the beauty of a ballerina’s corset into a wearable piece for the warm-weather season. It's perfect for a wedding, garden party or seaside dinner.

“I wanted to channel that structured, very feminine silhouette but make it feel modern and fresh, and Aaliyah looks so graceful and strong in the dress.” says Rebecca.
